This vessel was moving at a fair lick towards the pontoon at the heart of the festival. Kathleen is an open launch that was built in 1986 by Mayhew Marine at Bristol. The engine is an inverted vertical single cylinder 2.5" x 3" supplied with steam from a Merryweather vertical shell cross water tube boiler pressed to 120 psi. The vessel is 17' 6" long with tiller steering.
