Westfield Road, Kings Heath

Westfield Road is one of a grid of straight roads consisting mainly of terraced houses constructed before WW1. The 'graffiti' on the road surface is a community response to a recent serious 'hit and run' incident on the pedestrian crossing outside Asda on Kings Heath High Street. There are (controversial) proposals to incorporate these roads into a LTN (low Traffic Neighbourhood) and remove through motor traffic. Pending its implementation an experimental, 'temporary' and partial scheme is in place.
