The position is an approximation. Nessie has been restored by Thomas Field-Pattinson and is a 1923 Aveling & Porter tractor (No. 9435) that spent over 60 years in Loch Ness. The quality of the restoration is outstanding and I think this was the first time I saw it although it has been to Claymills Victorian Pumping Station.
