This, I assume redundant, electric power supply box still sits in the boundary wall to the hospital despite the redevelopment work taking place on site. The wording on the cast iron plaque reads "North Metropolitan Electric Power Supply Co DANGER Local Office} 312 Tottenham High Road N15 Telephone No. Stamford Hill 1147". In my photo Image I originally wrongly assumed that the early twentieth century power company acronym NMEPSC stood for the North Middlesex Electric Power Supply Co. I now stand corrected.
