Opened in 1866 by the South Eastern Railway on the line from Lewisham to Dartford. View north east at the forecourt. As built, the only booking office was on the far side of the tracks, away from London. A wooden clapperboard building was provided on this side of the tracks, towards London, in 1887. It was replaced in 1988 by this building. See also Image
