The building is 'Glaramara', a hotel near to Seatoller in Borrowdale. It takes its title from a mountain of the same name which would be reached by following the ridge beyond Thornythwaite Fell, the large bulk at the left side of the image. The valley ahead leads to the farm at Seathwaite, above which are Seathwaite Fell and Great End.
