This 18th century inn is at the northern end of the High Street at its junction with Lower Road. The 1881 Census reveals the following occupants: George FULLER, head of the household, married, aged 70, born Chinnor, Oxfordshire, occupation Licensed Victualler Maria FULLER, his wife, aged 68, born Risborough, Buckinghamshire Elizabeth FULLER, daughter, unmarried, aged 29, born Chinnor, Oxfordshire, occupation Dress Maker Edwin FULLER, son, unmarried, aged 27, born Chinnor, Oxfordshire, occupation butcher Mary Ann FULLER, daughter, unmarried, aged 24, born Chinnor, Oxfordshire, occupation Dress Maker Many of the female residents of Chinnor in this Census gave their occupation as lace maker.
