The mural by well known artist Rogue One was painted on the wall at the end of School Wynd, beside the Larachmhor Tavern. It represents a witch. Pittenweem is historically associated with witches and witchcraft. However, Fife Council felt the mural was "gaudy and inaccurate" and "based on historically inaccurate false narratives perpetuated by popular media" and has ordered its removal, as it did not have planning permission.
