Constructed in 1937. "One of the most attractively set bridges on the Wear, this is a former toll bridge replacing a ferry and stepping stones. There may have been an earlier bridge on the same piers." https://www.bridgesonthetyne.co.uk/finchale.html Yes, a very attractive setting. Takes the Weardale Way from the grounds of Finchale Priory to the steep bank of Finchale Wood on the other side.
