The lane once served Burrow Wood but gradually downgrades now as you go along it, becoming a path in the wood itself. Here it has a stream running down the ruts and this was a very dry period so I expect it can be muddy at times. Well worth a visit, especially in early Summer with the flowers and birdsong.
