My own cycle ride along peaceful North Essex lanes was delayed by a road closure to allow competitors in the London Ride free passage. This is the third rider (my picture of the leading pair was an ill-framed dud), being filmed by a cameraman on a motorbike. The peloton sped past a minute or so later. The sailless windmill, built in 1757, is Grade II listed, as is the 19th-century house.
