This is on the line from Brighouse; the nearby viaduct is on the line from Halifax and the two lines meet at a junction to the north-west. Stones and soil have built up downstream of the central pier and formed an island with vegetation and trees. The bridge was built c.1840 for the Manchester and Leeds Railway Company.
