The Hope

Pub in West Street. Originally two houses, half was opened up as a beer house in 1847, with the other part following in 1868. The name The Hope first appeared in 1871. The current look dates from the 1930s as part of a makeover by the then owner, Charringtons the brewers. It is now community owned.
