Taking an unplanned shortcut in the car I was surprised to discover this old-fashioned railway level crossing with manually operated gates and a semaphore signal. In this view, Sprinter unit 156427 is passing the crossing on a service from Buxton to Manchester. Image shows the signal cabin more clearly.
