St Peter’s Church at Delamere is an Anglican parish church located to the south of the village, just off the main Chester to Manchester road (A556). It was built in 1817 and is said to be one of the Waterloo churches built to celebrate Wellington's famous victory at the Battle of Waterloo two years earlier https://delamereandoakmere.co.uk/st-peters-church/ . It was built using local Manley sandstone with a Welsh slate roof and was altered greatly in 1878. The vestry was added in 1915. St Peter’s Church is designated by Historic England as a Grade II listed building (List Entry Number: 1139159 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1139159 ).
