This photo shows the back of London Transport AEC Regent I STL 2377 (EGO 426) which entered service in 1937 and was withdrawn in 1953. The destination board shows it working on route 174 between Dagenham (Kent Avenue) to Harold Hill (Gooshays Drive) via Romford and Gidea Park. The current timetable for route 174 is at http://www.londonbusroutes.net/times/174.pdf. This bus shows advertisements for John Bull, a periodical that came out between 1820 and 1964, and Dunlop Tyres that was founded in 1889. To the left of this bus in the distance can be seen the back of DMS 1868 (GHM 868N) a Daimler Fleetline rear-engine bus with Metro-Cammell 68-seater bodywork dating from 1974.
