Rugby Carnival - Carnival Queen

No traditional town carnival would be complete without a Carnival Queen and here she is, together with her young attendant, wearing the sash of the sponsor, the Rugby Advertiser, and travelling in a pick up truck supplied by a local car dealer. It all seems rather old fashioned now and the Rugby Carnival has not been staged for many years but it was harmless fun and the ladies here seemed to be enjoying themselves.
