At its junction with the B6308 coming along from Consett. Elm Park Road runs down the hillside into Shotley Bridge, and although just a minor country road carries a fair bit of traffic. Its obviously used as a shortcut. There is a good view from the hilltop here. The Northumberland hills can be seen as a misty line in the far distance.
