This is the scene near Pendeford on a beautiful spring afternoon, looking north-west towards Brewood and Market Drayton. Barnhurst Bridge (No 2) is behind the camera. The Dovecotes estate is off to the left, occupying former Barnhurst Farm land. Off to the right are Pendeford Park and further housing estates, where Wolverhampton Municipal Airport (closed 31 December 1970) used to be.
