There was a track from Mill of Pitcaple (NJ733260) at to the main road, crossing the River Urie on this bridge, or perhaps former bridges since replaced by this one. The round tower is part of another set of buildings, confusingly also marked on the maps as Mill of Pitcaple (NJ729259).
