Sadly the countryside is not immune from criminal behaviour and rural areas on the edge of the metropolis are likely to be especially vulnerable. This sign appears next to a footpath near Cuffley. There is a long list of crimes with which 'police will deal robustly': illegal hunting, shooting and fishing; metal theft; fly tipping; red diesel theft; farm burglaries; heritage crime; plant/farm equipment theft; and criminal damage.
