The retaining wall on the steep sided cutting near the beginning of the Nickey Line path at Harpenden. This wall was built on the sharp curve onto the Midland Railway main line to the south where the Nickey Line started. Left from this point was another curve onto the main line facing north towards Luton. There was a junction between the lines where the photographer is standing.
