The square plan, rubble stone chimney was probably erected in the mid-late nineteenth century along with other structures such as the dry dock and sail loft at the northeastern end of the harbour. It is Grade II-listed (Cadw ref: 5721 https://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=&id=5721 ).
