This shows the position of the milestone from the Selby to Leeds Turnpike Road which is now at the entrance/exit to Waterloo Manor Independent Hospital. The backing stone was lost but the metal attachment is fixed to its own little stone wall. Unfortunately it is now showing signs of rust. MS is marked on the 1961 OS 1" map just east of the A63/A642 traffic island at SE 396 324 and from the mileages on the post that is where it came from.
