A piece of carved pediment, dated 1675, incorporated into the wall of 1-9 The Square, built in 1967 Image It came from the Golden Cross tavern, which had stood close to this site until its demolition in 1966. See https://canmore.org.uk/site/49258/linlithgow-2-the-cross-golden-cross-cafe for photographs of it in its original context. The bronze circular plaque on the left is the emblem for the Linlithgow Heritage Trail.
