The tower belonged to Bonser's Lion Warehouse which was built in 1860 by J.R. Botham. Bonser & Co was a firm of iron merchants. Grade II listed. The adjacent no. 86 is by Edward Mansell, 1890, and borrows the window design from its neighbour. They were, respectively, Cow (vintage clothing) and Gregory Pank Hardware.
