Manufactured by the Lion Foundry in the town, this drinking fountain was presented to the Burgh of Kirkintilloch by ex-Bailie Hudson in 1905. The figure on the top represents Faustina, daughter of Emperor Antonius Pius, after whom the Antonine Wall is named. It is Category C listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB36665.
