The Zion chapel used to stand just a short distance up the road in the past. The movement first came about in the early 1800s with a Sunday school and temporary meeting room. By 1875 land had been purchased and the old chapel founded a year later. This served well until it was demolished in 1983 and this one created. Today's modern version happens to have a small café within, offering local produce, hot and cold drinks including speciality tea.
