Rainbows will have no actual location or even existence; their apparent position depends upon the viewpoint of the observer. A rainbow would form a complete circle and in fact can be seen that way occasionally from the air. Generally one can see only the upper arc of a rainbow, or part of it. In this image however the elevation of the camera, and perhaps the low angle of the sun, just allows part of the lower bow curve to be seen.
