The Milepost is located by the road on the East of the road. Parish of Longframlington (Alnwick District). Metal post with attached metal plate, Smith Patterson iron shield design, erected by the Morpeth to River Beamish turnpike trust in the 19th Century. Inscription reads:- CORNHILL / 31 / MORPETH / 13 : : SMITH PATTERSON LTD OF BLAYDON Grade II listed.
