One of four square louvred cupolas on the roof of Fishergate School. Built 1893-5, it was designed by W H Brierley who was responsible for a number of York schools. Grade II listed - see https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1257844?section=official-list-entry.
