Not to be confused with the Rifle Hall which was once a theatre before becoming the better known drill hall. Image I am informed it was in use from the mid 1950s until the late 1980s, after that it was used as a warehouse for a local confectioner with multiple outlets. Use as a secondhand furniture shop followed for a while. It is located in Old Brewery Yard where, in 1770 a brewery was established by J C Evans and Co. and was trading until it was damaged by a fire in 1921. There is little written history about the brewery despite the town's involvement and pride in the malting and brewery business.
