The Georgian Old Aberdeen former Town House is at the top of the High Street. it was designed by George Jaffray, dates from 1788, and is now a visitors' centre. The students' howff, "The Machar", has a new sign with a picture of St Machar Cathedral. http://www.abdn.ac.uk/oldtownhouse/
