Laid out for Muslim graves, so the graves are at right angles to the direction of Mecca and so Mecca is to the right. This means the concrete strips where the headstones will rest (a novel feature of this new cemetery) need only be about half the width, but twice the frequency of the non-Muslim sections, where back to back headstones are the practice. This section required a lot of trees to be cleared.
