Municipal Boundary Marker beside a cut off section of the old Stockton to Hartlepool road between the A689 and A1185. Without an inscription or attachment it's impossible to determine its function but this might have been erected by Billingham Urban District after its establishment in 1923, or after a boundary change in 1937. Now on the border of Billingham parish in Stockton district and Newton Bewley parish in Hartlepool district. Milestone Society National ID: DU_BILNBE01pb
