Looking down towards the trolleybus turning point at Thackley Junction. The view was taken on the occasion of special tours run to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of trolleybus operation in Bradford, the only British trolleybus system to achieve this landmark. The open ground in the left foreground has now been filled with a housing development, but this 2020 view https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6398757 shows how little the scene has changed otherwise in the 50 years since; there are fewer chimney stacks, and the road markings and vehicles have been modernised.
