Portobello Pumping Station

Sewage and wastewater pumping station serving the whole of the Brighton and Hove area. The site first came into use in 1874, with the main outfall here, but in the late 20th Century it was rebuilt and connected to a new treatment works and outfall at Peacehaven which came into operation in 1983.
