Unusually for Edinburgh, this 'Crescent' is actually crescent-shaped. Although none of the buildings on the North side of the street are deemed worthy of listed building status, they do get a mention in the report on the Morningside Conservation Area, available online. Braid Crescent sits at the far SouthWest of the area and is described as having: "the grandest two storey bay windows in Edinburgh, each topped with an octagonal lead dome" It can be seen that not every single building has a dome, but enough do for them to catch the eye. The houses went up in the late 19th Century.
