This carved dog forms part of a highly decorative wooden bench located on Water End at the junction with Stamford Road. It was installed in October 2021 and was carved with the aid of a power saw by Kimberly Hone of Wildwood Art using timber donated by the Milton Estate. The village of Marholm (pronounced locally as "Marram" with a short "a") numbered a population of 146 at the time of the 2021 United Kingdom national census.
