One of two fields of ground-mounted solar photovoltaic arrays to the south of Castle Road. They were installed between 2021 and 2022 to provide power to the Castle Hill Hospital complex on the north side of Castle Road. The two sets of solar arrays, Field A, and Field B (shown here) between them provide 5MW from nearly 11,000 panels, making the hospital self-sufficient in energy during the summer and saving around £250,000 to £300,000 per month on energy bills (although this saving is presumably larger now due to recent price rises).
