Built in the early 1800s for Robert Waugh who made his fortune in Jamaica, returned to Melrose bought this land c1807 and built this house c1818. Two extensions on the back, one to the NE built during C19, one to NW early C20. Bequeathed to the National Trust for Scotland in 1996. It is now available for self-catering, sleeps 15 in 8 bedrooms, parking at the back!
