This is the road branching off Waterloo Road. It went to the Halifax to Wakefield turnpike road, meeting it between Lightcliffe and Bailiff Bridge. It is shown on Jeffreys's map of 1775 and is called Sike Lane on the 1850 six-inch map. The pub is 'The Crown'.
