Grue has collected at the bend in the River Tweed near Sands Shiel. This view is directed towards the bottom of Newbiggin Dean on the Northumbrian side of the river. The small hide overlooks the confluence of the River Tweed and Newbiggin Burn and was erected in the past few years by persons unknown. These conditions follow a slight thaw following temperatures which plummeted to in the region of -12°C. This photograph was taken during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic of 2020/21/22.
