Banisters must be a bit more than your usual farm to have a gate like this. It is right on a bend in the road which may be why it is no longer in use. Another entrance has been made a short way along. There is still a buzzer and keypad on the right hand gatepost so perhaps the gates still open, if only to get the lawnmower through to keep it all looking so neat. Banisters Farm itself is in the square north of here and according to the map it has a Roman Milestone in the garden.
