Once part of the Greencroft Hall Estate. The woodland is secondary growth, I assume the original trees were felled long ago. This land is very prone to flooding; there used to be ponds here in the 1950-60's. There are boardwalks like this one over the worst sections of the path, although they look to be in serious need of repair.
