Snow is infrequent in Cambridge and rarely lasts - but there have been several days of sub-zero temperatures and there is little immediate likelihood of a thaw. Main roads have been gritted, but side streets and pavements are icy. This picture was taken early in the afternoon, with the sun on its way down, nearly two days after the snow fell.
