Shrewsbury Flax Mill Maltings

This Grade I Listed former flax milt and maltings was built in 1796-7. Its iron-framed fireproof construction is hailed as being the progenitor of all modern skyscrapers. This view may not be possible for much longer as the plan is to build accommodation in the foreground. I, personally, think that's a bad idea!
