Found in the appropriately-named Forge Lane, this is the cottage on which Charles Dickens based Joe Gargery's blacksmith's forge in Great Expectations. It would have been known to Dickens as the house where he and Catherine spent their honeymoon is just a short distance away - see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7355531
