Built in the mid 1850s for a consortium of railway companies who all operated from it (Worcester, Oxford and Wolverhampton Railway, the Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Dudley Railway and the Shrewsbury and Birmingham Railway) the station was in use until 1972 when services ceased and the lines were removed soon after. It attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101292930-low-level-station-heath-town-ward#.Y4ZHPXbP3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1292930 in 1986.
