This is on western side of Wren's Nest Hill in the nature reserve. The famous fossilized ripple beds are off to the left of the fence. The former quarry, which ceased operation in 1925 is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. To get a sense of scale, the fence is about six feet (nearly two metres) in height.
